Get autoreply message every time you send e-mail to a certain e-mail address

Dear all.

I have an e-mail address called: autoreply@contoso.com and I need it to send an autoreply message evertime when someone sends any e-mails to it even if the same person sends e-mails a few times toautoreply@contoso.com . I know that by default once you're received the autoreply message you won't get the second one. Is it possible to chance that setting?

Thank you in advance guys

antispam agents are disabled but an email goes to junk folder only for one mailbox

Hi!

I’m running Exchange 2013 CU9 and have disabled all native antispam features:

get-TransportService | FL AntispamAgentsEnabled
AntispamAgentsEnabled : False

get-ContentFilterConfig | FL Enabled
Enabled : False

There is only one user who catches a specific email to outlook junk folder.  The other users receive this email to inbox folder.
Since antispam is disabled there are no SCL headers in emails.

Also get-MailboxJunkEmailConfiguration  doesn’t  show the sender is blocked or trusted for any of mailboxes.

RunspaceId : a170ede8-2d05-4eea-b6ad-94f8e41e8a4f
Enabled : True
TrustedListsOnly : False
ContactsTrusted : False
TrustedSendersAndDomains : {}
BlockedSendersAndDomains : {}
IsValid : True
ObjectState : Unchanged

All users run outlook 2010sp2, but I believe outlook is not the point because this is server side feature.

I can’t figure out why only one mailbox handles this particular email like a junk?

opportunistic and Forced TLS

I'm looking for the way to establish TLS connection between us and client per client request,

I sent the mail via oppotunistic TLS email to client by test, client was blocking the mail because of establishing Forced TLS.

When clients set up forced TLS from our domain, they blocked the oppotunistic TLS(not forced TLS)mail also.

Sorry i have no information about TLS.

Secure POP and Secure IMAP ports only binding to localhost

I have an exchange 2013 Server (all latest patches) with Secure POP and IMAP enabled.  I just moved the server to AWS and now I can only telnet to "localhost" on port 995.  I cannot telnet to the IP address of the local server on port 995.  I can telnet to Secure SMTP on port 587 and on 25 using the local IP of the server. This is quite critical.  TIA.

SSL Certificate - TLS

Hey,

Inline with the change to certificates so that internal names are no longer allowed, we updated ours to not have internal names.

This is a sample of our cert:

mail.domain.com
autodiscover.domain.com
server1 (NetBIOS name of server)
server1.corp.domain.com (FQDN of server)

So I removed the last 2 from the cert.  We're now getting bouncebacks when external recipients send us TLS emails and we get a lot of this error in the logs (every 15 minutes or so, event ID is 12014):

Microsoft Exchange could not find a certificate that contains the domain name server1.corp.domain.com in the personal store on the local computer. Therefore, it is unable to support the STARTTLS SMTP verb for the connector Default server1 with a FQDN parameter of server1.corp.domain.com. If the connector's FQDN is not specified, the computer's FQDN is used. Verify the connector configuration and the installed certificates to make sure that there is a certificate with a domain name for that FQDN. If this certificate exists, run Enable-ExchangeCertificate -Services SMTP to make sure that the Microsoft Exchange Transport service has access to the certificate key.

The cert is from DigiCert and is set to use the IMAP, POP, IIS and SMTP services.

What is the solution to this?  I read this and it states you do not need the CAS array name in the cert (our CAS array name is the FQDN of the server - single server deployment):

http://blogs.technet.com/b/awang/archive/2012/02/22/exchange-2010-certificate-planning.aspx

We use mail.domain.com instead of smtp.domain.com as shown in the article.

I tried changing the FQDN HELO response for the default receive connector but it won't let me without removing Exchange Server authentication.  I then tried creating a new receive connector of type 'Internet' but that failed as 2 connectors can't use the same IP address and port.  So I then changed the port of the default receive connector and created a new one (of type Internet) that uses port 25.

That seems to stop error 12014 appearing in the logs.

Not sure if any of this is the right thing to do, especially changing the port on the default connector!

Additional rules to utilize send connectors (ie. use this one for attachments)

In Exchange Server 2016 (or 2013) is there any way to create a rule of some sort that affects which send connector is used in certain scenarios?

For example, let's say I have three second connectors and two of these are smart hosts and I want to control "if attachment size is < 20 MB, use smart host 1", "if attachment size is between 20 MB and 50 MB use this smart host", and"if attachment size is > 50 MB, use this send connector to send directly from this mail server".

This is one of the tasks I'd like to complete amongst others but I'm not entirely sure if this can be done.

Thanks in advance!

5.7.1 Client does not have permissions to send as this sender - NLB

Hi there- we have an application which sends out email notifications to a third party vendor. The vendor was previously using Exchange Server 2010 and they have recently migrated to Exchange Server 2013. They have also implemented NLB and have two Client Access Servers configured.

Our application has been spitting out "SMTP 5.7.1 Client does not have permissions to send as this sender" errors ever since the vendor has implemented NLB. As our application uses the IP address of the Exchange Server, we have tried specifying the IP address of both the Client Access Servers but that did not help. We then tried specifying the IP address of the NLB which did not make any difference either. The vendor has confirmed that anonymous relay has been enabled on the receive connectors of both the Client Access Servers. I must add that our application sits on the vendor's server and the application and exchange servers are in the same domain. The "Send From" email address is an existing mailbox configured by the vendor.

Telnet from the App server to the NLB on port 25 has gone through without any dramas.

Is there anything else we would need to check to get this working?

Cheers

how to clear queue

Exchange 2013 cu4

this morning I found out in one of my mailboxes, there is a queue of about 400 messages in retry. I remember in Exchange 200/3, one can push the messages or force the messages to clear up the queue.

question is,

1. how do I force messages to send?

2. how do I find out why there is a long queue of messages?

End up in junk mail when sending

Hi,

I have a problem with my Exchange 2013 server.

When I try to send out to external mail accounts I can sometime end up in junk mail.
I try to find out if it is just some certain mail that we can't send to.

I do know that we have problems with Gmail.

Could it be that our name which includes "monkey" can be mistaken for money by autofilters?.

Thanks for answers.

iMac OSX 10.8.5 suddenly cannot connect to Exchange Server 2013

One of my user's iMac running on OSX 10.8.5 using Outlook 2011 suddenly cannot connect to our Exchange Server 2013. This is a very unique problem which I tried but cannot solve.

There are 7 email accounts on this iMac but only this one account cannot connect. I can create this email account on a computer using Windows 7 Pro with Outlook 2010 and it works fine.

What I have tried but did not work;

- rebuilt the Database

- migrated the mailbox to another database

- create another user identity on the iMac

- run permission repair on iMac

Any suggestions or solutions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Public folder not receiving mail from internal contact

$

Hi,

I am doing a lab with Exchange 2013 and public folders. I create 1 PF by the book, mail enabled it, gave anonymous users contributor role. Problem is when I send a mail from my test user to a PF, PF stays empty. The user that I am sending mail from is the Owner of the PF. Mail address of the PF is SMTP.

This option to reject messages from all senders is there from the start, is that wrong?

Edit: not receiving NDR as well.

Thanks

Journaling users in a database using Exchange 2010 standard license.

I have a journaling setup for compliance reasons and connected to 1 database.  All users in this database have all their e-mail sent using this journaling rule and another one for the entire company.

Here's my issue:  I now have 3 users that are in different databases using this journaling rule.  2 of them used to be in there but have been moved out.  The other one to the best of my knowledge has never been in this database.  Any ideas on why this is happening or how to stop it?

Thanks,

Tom

Reverse DNS does not match SMTP Banner. Which FQDN?

$

Hi,

I just got the Reverse DNS setup by our IP provider but when i run mxtoolbox i get the error "Reverse DNS does not match SMTP Banner" now.
I went to send connectors and looked at the FQDN there and it was mail.domain.se but when I look at receive connectors I have writen servername.domain.local ( which is the correct internal name ).

My question is which one should I use and do I have to create any A hosts in my server or is this something my IP provider has to do?

Distribution Group receives NDR for external senders and some addresses

I have a mail universal distribution group alias@domain.com on a Exchange 2013 server. Later, otheralias@domain.com was added as address and configured as primary SMTP address. External senders are, however, permitted; an e-mail address policy is not enabled nor is moderation.
