I have one stand alone exchange server 2013 in our environment. It was working perfectly fine however few days ago i started facing a problem where users were not able to send/receive emails.

I was able to access owa, the outlook showed exchange connected and updated but when i send emais it shows in the sent box but emails were not delivered.

After restarting the issue got fixed and this now happened every 2-3 days.Also the toolbox stops responding.

I will copy paste the error next time for more info....

please help which is the right place to check to fix this issue in event log. As i could not find any log specific or pointing to this issue

We are using exchange 2013 with with one physical machine. We have been having some serious security problems so I signed up with a could based spam virus protections service Barracuda we also have a one of their appliances already on our network.  Changed my MX DNS records to make this work, Of course the attackers just went straight for my IP and bypassed the service.I reconfigured our firewall to only accept port 25 connections from the cloud service. It was a short lived calm our remote users cellphones and tablets could not connect. I had to reopen the ports and we are back into the same boat. It's pretty bad. I would real like lock down port 25 again but I these remote users need their mail. We use outlook 2013 2016 and 2019 on the tablets the phones use a number of clients including outlook. Anyone have any ideals as to how I can make this work.

Hello guys, I have a weird case that requires the community expertise.

Issue: When you send an invite to the Supervisors' group, the Backoffice group also receives it.This only happens with invites, not with e-mails.

Scenario

Exchange: On-premises
Group1: Supervisors
Group2: Backoffice

My first though was that the Backoffice group was member of Supervisors, but it wasn`t. It only had users.

Then, just in case, I checked if there were any delegation. No delegation.

Maybe some user had an inbox rule to forward/redirect it, but none had (checked with "Get-InboxRule -Mailbox <UPN> | Select-Object -Property Name,Description,RedirectTo,ForwardTo,ForwardAsAttachmentTo")

Also checked if this wasn't the case of iOS 10.3.3 forwarding the invites (https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/4014990/meeting-invitations-are-forwarded-by-an-attendee-for-an-existing-meeti), but the users that have iOS are using 13.5.1.

This only occurs with invites. When an e-mail is sent to Supervisors, Backoffice doesn`t receives it. But when an invite is sent, both receives.

Any idea of what may be causing the issue? Any suggestions?

Hello everyone,

I would like to know if, in E2K13, is possible to route a message based on who(FROM) is sending emails.

For example:

when the internal email address "x@test.com" sends an email I need to route this Sender to a specific Send Connector in E2K13.

Is that possible?

Hi everyone,

a basic question about Hybrid mail flow setting:

- I have an SMTP Gateway (Antispam), incoming and outgoing emails should be pass through it;

In this scenario, I must create a Incoming Connector in EXO to receive emails from my SMTP Gateway, right?

And, I must create a Receive Connector in my E2K13 server, is that right?

Hello,

I currently have 3 Exchange servers setup in Co-Existence (EX2010, EX2013A, EX2013B). The 2010 Server is still the public facing server.

I had the two 2013 servers setup in a DAG which I could not get to work properly (Mailflow issues), so I removed it in hopes of returning the servers to standalone status.

The DAG appears to be gone. But in the Queue Viewer on EX2013A I see a Shadow Redundancy Folder with a Next Hop Domain of 2013B with 400 messages in the queue and counting. There are lots of healthmailbox messages from before I removed the DAG.

The Queue Viewer on EX2013B I see a Shadow Redundancy Folder with a Next Hop Domain of 2013A with 600 messages in the queue and counting.

Mailflow seems to work fine from all directions

Right now there are just a few test mailboxes on the 2013 servers, I want to make sure the environment is safe before migrating production mailboxes.

Thoughts?

Hi, 

I am setting up an Edge Synchronisation for mail flow to Exchange Online (Hybrid). I would like the email destined for Office 365 to route via my new Exchange 2016 Mailbox servers and then to the Edge Transport servers, and not use the old 2010 Hub Transport servers to route direct to the 2016 edge servers, however there doesn't seem to be a way to achieve this from what I can tell? How can I force the Edge to Internet send connector to route email via my new 2016 Transport servers before sending to the edge?

Hi,

we're investigating a migration of Lotus Notes to Exchange. One issue is the migration of encrypted mail. How to keep them confidential in Exchange?

We have users like a secretary that has read/write access to a mailbox of a manager. If another user mails the manager with confidential information, he encrypts it in LN before sending it, so only the mailbox owner can open the message. Is this possible in Exchange 2013 and in Exchange online? Heard that you can set things via IRM, but that with Outlook web access the secretary can set the manager's mailbox as primary and than will be able to open the confidential email....
