I have an on site exchange 2013 box.
The mail is held in online mailboxes and a pop connector fetches the mail and delivers it to the exchange mailboxes.
I noticed that some emails being held online were being fetched but then never appeared in the exchange mailboxes so I assumed the Exchange SCL had marked them as spam.
I then followed the Microsoft tutorial on setting up a dedicated exchange spam mailbox to receive these types of emails so I could release the ones I wanted.
Everything was setup and all the 'Get' commands I ran returned the right info regarding SCL and forwarding the spam to the dedicated mailbox, but there are NO emails in the spam mailbox and users are still complaining they are missing legitimate emails.
Is there any way to track or trace these emails to see why they aren't being sent to the spam mailbox or what is happening to them?
