Exchange 2013 cu10, 1 DAG with 2 MB, 2 CAS
yesterday i discovered a problem with my MB01 wherein mails are getting queued but not being delivered. upon logging into the console of MB01, i found things are very slow in responding indicating a problem with the server's performance (or something affecting it). in the meantime, i have MB02 being idle doing nothing.
why is it that mails are still being sent or processed by MB01 and not getting rerouted to MB02? how does the Transport service decide which MB servers to use for queuing emails?
note: i found that the antivirus is affecting the Transport service. upon uninstalling, everything worked fine. AV was already installed and running for many months before this happens. however, same AV in MB02 is not affecting MB02.
